About Liberation Partnership

Service users are the experts on themselves; they are best placed to understand their needs and aspirations. Evidence from the National Individual Budgets Pilots indicates that where Local Authorities have worked in partnership with Service Users and Service User led organisations better outcomes and value for money have been achieved.

The Liberation Partnership is such an organisation and offers independent training and advice to individuals and organisations in relation to personal budgets. It is one of the only organisations in the country to have been set up as a Community Interest Company to support Personal Budget (PB) recipients and it has set a model for such organisations which we expect will be replicated nationally.

The Liberation Partnership (LP) already has a successful track record of working in partnership with Essex County Council and was a key player in the successful Individual Budgets National Pilot. We continue to be at the forefront of user-led organisations in relation to Personal Budgets and can continue to be involved in setting the agenda for the PB movement in partnership with our colleagues in the national arena and within Essex CC.
